Rotermanni 3 Market – have a taste of real Estonian products!

If you love the natural taste of Estonian food products and wish to get better acquainted to some, the freshly opened Rotermanni 3 Market is a place for you!  Situated just behind the Coca-Cola Plaza cinema in the City Centre, you can find a lovely Rotermanni City Square which accommodates a small farm market, offering Estonian food products only.

Farmers and small enterprises are offering a variety of vegetables, strawberries, sausages, ham, mutton, cheeses, smoked fish, hand-made home-baked black bread and different small pies.

The main idea is to offer farmers an opportunity to sell and to give townsmen a chance to get real domestic farm food which they cannot buy from supermarkets.

Since August 2009, weekly markets of Estonian handicraft and design take additionally place every Sunday, offering a variety of traditional hammered work, knitwork, woodwork and other handicraft, but also local jewellery, paintings and flowers. One can also buy fish which is fumed on the spot.

The youngest can play in the playground, while the parents are shopping at the market. The whole Rotermann Quarter is for pedestrians and bikers only, cars can be parked in a parking house under the Rotermann Quarter, offering the cheapest parking opportunity within the Centre.

After a good shopping session, you can sit down for a nice coffee at the Platz Cafe which has a picturesque terrace just by the Rotermann Square. On your way back, you can purchase or rent a vintage Soviet bike!

The opening hours are Wednesdays – Fridays, 10 AM – 7 PM; Saturdays 10 AM – 4 PM! Markets of handicraft and design are open Sundays at 10 AM - 4 PM.
